Compounding

Compounding pharmacies can produce unique dosage forms based on patient preferences or restrictions. Many compounds are specialized medication combinations or compounded in forms that are not commercially available. Examples include dye-free, preservative-free, alcohol-free, or sugar-free forms of medications.

Having options can make medications easier to take, address any unique health problems, or get you feeling better and faster. We partner with our sister pharmacy, Bob Johnson’s, to provide compounding options. This allows you to choose various ointments, gels, syrups, suspensions, suppositories, capsules, and other formulations.

Compounding allows the patient, physician, and pharmacist to work together to provide an alternative treatment option in cases where currently-available treatment options are not working. Medications are compounded and dispensed to patients only after receiving a valid patient-specific prescription.

Medication Synchronization

Do you ever struggle to keep up with your medication refills and pick up your medications? If so, you be interested in medication synchronization.

Medication Synchronization, also called “med sync,” is a program to synchronize your medication refills so that you can pick up ALL of your medications on a single day each month. Speak to a staff member to get started.

Medication Adherence

A shocking percentage of medications are not taken as prescribed. When these medications are for chronic conditions, such as high cholesterol and diabetes – the non-adherence can lead to worsening health conditions and hospitalizations.

If you struggle to take your medications as prescribed, you’re not alone. As local, accessible medical professionals, our pharmacy staff can help you find a solution so that you can enjoy better, more stable health. Speak with an expert staff member today.

Travel Vaccinations

If you’re planning a trip overseas – especially to Africa, Central America, or South America make sure you are up to date on routine vaccinations. There’s no need to worry if you are unsure what vaccinations you should receive. We’ve got you covered.

Receiving vaccinations before your trip will help keep you and your family safe and healthy while traveling. Knowing you are protected from diseases like malaria, yellow fever, and typhoid will give you peace of mind so you can spend your time enjoying yourself.

Getting vaccinated at least four to six weeks before you travel is essential. This will give the vaccines time to start working and help ensure you are fully protected while traveling. See our immunization page, or speak to one of our expert pharmacy staff members to get started.

Vitamin B12 Injections

Vitamin B12 shots are helpful for those with gastrointestinal issues, older adults, and vegans. A Vitamin B12 deficiency may lead to various health problems, ranging from fatigue to permanent neurological changes.

Injections can enable the body to improve B12 uptake by circumventing the digestive system. Madison Park Pharmacy is happy to offer Vitamin B12 injections right in the pharmacy. Visit our vaccinations page to schedule an appointment or talk with a staff member to get started.
